We're almost there!

My due date is in 6 days and this baby will definitely be born within the next 8 days. Eek! I'm so glad to finally meet him (and figure out his name!) but I still feel like there are a million and one little things that we need to get done before he's here.

I picked up our newborn diaper rental on Friday and spent Saturday prepping diapers and getting everything organized. You know I took a picture of everything:

On top of the dresser, I put the covers and a stack of newborn diapers in a little basket, plus bottom spray and some flannel wipes (in an old Seventh Generation wipes container). I also have a spray bottle that I'll put plain water in and some Earth Mama Angel Baby bottom balm. We've already been using the EMAB balm on some of Alina's minor boo-boos and it works great! It also smells pretty great.

Going left to right:

Drawer #1
Extra wipes (cloth and disposable), extra inserts for pocket diapers, small wet bag, and some spare disposable diapers.

Drawer #2
Newborn all-in-one diapers and various pocket diapers.

Drawer #3
The fitted newborn diapers. I am doing the Cloth Diaper Rental from Sweetbottoms Baby. I have Swaddlebees diapers instead of the Clover diapers they normally use in the rental. The diapers are so soft and it makes me happy to think about how much money we should save by doing this for the newborn period.

Also, everyone at Sweetbottoms Baby is so helpful and nice. Even if you aren't local to Raleigh, I really recommend checking them out! They have free shipping if you aren't local.

In other news, we went to the park yesterday. I didn't take any pictures except for these:

Alina had a blast. We fed the ducks (and geese), walked around, and she went down the slide around 500 times. She hurt her wrist as we were leaving though and we ended up going to urgent care yesterday evening. It's just a sprain, though so that's good!

Hopefully she'll be feeling better soon. I think it will be sooner rather than later because she was NOT pleased to find out that she couldn't run around and play outside until her wrist is better.

Hopefully soon I'll be able to update the blog with baby information!
