the chicken and the ant: February (so far)

I haven't really taken many pictures of Alina recently, but last week we had to deal with Rocco! On Friday (2/3), I noticed his eyes looked like this before I went to work:

So, I gave him a Claritin and called the vet. He ended up going in that afternoon but of course his eyes looked a lot better when we got there! The vet checked his eyes for scratches and since there were none,she said it was probably an allergic reaction to something. She gave me some eye drops to give him twice a day (that sure is fun) and then we made an appointment to come back the following Monday so she could check his progress. He was fine all weekend and he was even fine when he spent all day Monday at the vet! While he was there, she gave him a glaucoma test, which in dogs means she numbed his eyes and then checked the pressure with some sort of tool. I don't really know. Anyway, about 2 hours after we got home, this was happening:

He was just hanging out with his eyes closed! SO I called the vet the next morning and after checking on him again at lunchtime, we made an appointment to have him looked at again the next day, mainly to make sure he didn't scratch his eye because he was rubbing them so much. I felt okay waiting because this is how he looked at lunch time:
